PC, Network, & Software Monitoring for ABB 800xA

Widely used standard workstations and network equipment in automation systems significantly impact overall performance and reliability. Proactive monitoring helps anticipate issues, ensuring optimal system availability. The PC, Network, and Software Monitoring (PNSM) package offers predefined IT Assets representing common devices and processes within the 800xA System. These IT Assets provide data ranging from simple (like low printer ink) to complex (detecting gradual memory loss in a computer). Upon detecting or predicting problems, the software automatically generates alarms, notifying users. By default, IT Asset status is visible via the System 800xA Status Viewer or standard faceplates. When combined with Asset Optimization Asset Monitoring, error-based alarms can be generated, and IT Asset status can be viewed via the Asset Viewer and Asset Reporter. IT Assets are also available as downloadable library items from ABB SolutionsBank. After PNSM installation in the 800xA System, data from IT Assets can be used to generate alarms, produce historical reports, and update live trends and graphics.
